               BIG CHANGES
I have moved a little too far ahead, we need to go back to
Harrogate, in 1950, when Father left home. His first and last
            attempt at “escape”!
Finally, following his long illness during the 1940’s, and after
various other different occupations, he had managed to get a
good position working as a salesman with GPO Telephones.
He tried to break away to start a new life!
Mother was not best pleased about him leaving and
eventually tracked him down to Peterborough with me in tow
and sister left in charge of Grandmother.
I should mention here, something else I was not aware of at
this early age, my father was attractive to and attracted by the
            ladies!

                                                                         24
