NOSTALGIA FOR A MINUTE
The visit to Hull was exciting but so was just getting there!
There were two choices in 1956, either a long relentless drive
upriver to the nearest bridges at Selby and Goole, then back
again along the north bank of the River Humber, or travel to the
very northern most tip of Lincolnshire at New Holland and catch
the steam powered paddlewheel ferry boats.
