Father had some friends in the motor trade but his next
choice was very unpopular? He came home one day with a
Vauxhall Wyvern. Not a patch on that old Zephyr and certainly
not sufficiently reliable for my father who never considered the
servicing of his cars of any importance.

(Renault 4 CL smart little car but Mother could not get
inside!)

This was followed by a very small Renault 4, four door saloon
with engine in the rear. We are still in the 1950’s remember and
perhaps he was looking at economy but this little car stayed for
less than a week!
