Special wagons are used to deliver the bottles
and barrels..lower to the ground and with a little
cabin on the front for the driver to sit while he’s
driving.

Joe’s wagon is number five, Ebony and Sammy
work side by side in the front and can deliver
about 16 tons of beer on a good day...
with Joe’s help too.

We can let you into a little secret..Joe has a little
box under the seat of his wagon..where he
keeps..what do you think,..his sandwiches!

Because the horses are so much bigger..their
lunch is in large sacks that hang on the back of
the wagon..called nose bags..because they go
over the horses’ noses when it is time for lunch!

As the horses are deep in their thoughts..the
harness is soon all put in place..then they are led
out into the stable yard where they both look
very proud.
