Back in his office, high above the works...John
Young receives a telephone call from
Lincolnshire!

YES...it is O.K. for Sammy to go and live on the
farm with his friend Ebony... “I think this news
will please someone I know,” thinks Mr Young.

At about five O’ clock in the evening, after a
busy day...our friends return...everyone else has
had their tea..so Joe and Brian quickly remove
the harness and ribbons and mix the horses a
well deserved meal.

“There you are chaps,” says Joe “you have had a
busy day...and I have some very good news. Mr
Young has left a message especially for you two
horses.

It says that when Ebony retires shortly...Sammy
can go with him to the farm in Lincolnshire. You
can both go to Ebony’s old home...won’t that be
grand..you can still be together as working
partners!”

As Joe left the two horses to enjoy their tea,
Sammy could not believe his good fortune.

“Just fancy,” he told his friend, “there I was , so
worried that I would be left to try and make new
friends...and everything has turned out so well!”
