The bright sunlight sparkles on the best show
harness with gleaming leather and long bright
chains twinkling like little stars.
Joe and Brian gently place Ebony and Sammy
into position in front of the No 1 Wagon. The
jingle jangle chains fasten the horses to the
vehicle and they are almost ready for the off!
The traffic could be busy now on the roads and
Ebony and Sammy are going to walk through
the streets to the City.
“Have you been to the City before?” Ebony asks
Sammy, as they wait for Joe the driver to make
his final checks around the wagon.
“Oh..I used to live in the South of England,”
Sammy replies; “when I came to London to
work with you..it was the first time I had been in
a big City,” he continues.
“Ah.. well, when Joe says The City,” Ebony
explains..”he means the very middle of
London..THE CITY is where everything
happens!”
The two horses look perfectly splendid, the
white ribbons in their hair are fluttering in the
breeze and the long white hair on their legs bobs
up and down with each graceful movement.
