Page 38 - EBONY AN EXCEPTIONAL SHIRE HORSE
P. 38

Ebony is there in the front pulling a traditional Lincolnshire Farm Wagon.
I am driving in costume with very long hair and a moustache.

The director did not like the wagon when he eventually saw it on set, as it was
so big it dwarfed everything around it.

It was also incredibly noisy, you can see those very big iron shod wheels.

The wagon was loaned to us for that day by Mike Bray of Wrangle,
            Lincolnshire.
The picture was taken by our neighbour and good friend Robert who was
behind me driving a light vehicle.

Finally, on the next page, a close up of Ebony and Robert with that trolley on
            location at Weybourne Station.
The chap in blue is supposed to be a railway worker.

That vehicle in that photograph, is called a trolley because it has full springing
            to both axles.
That big orange farm wagon in the photograph above had no springs!
