Page 36 - EBONY AN EXCEPTIONAL SHIRE HORSE

This last photo is a snapshot taken from one of the videos of Ebony at the
Boston venue where Mr and Mrs Bateman had arranged a fund raising event
for the World Wildlife Fund in Boston Central Park.
Afterwards, Ebony and the dray visited several of the Bateman Public Houses
in the town for Publicity photographs.

In 1991 he went to the Lincolnshire County Show to take part in a Centre ring
Pageant showing a village not far from Lincoln a hundred years previously.
Everything was horse drawn and Ebony was there with the Bateman's
Brewery Dray once again.

All the videos from this period are original VHS tapes that have been
converted to digital, so not as good quality as you expect to see today!

In this snapshot from the video he is entering the main ring for the Spectacle.
The dray is very heavy, despite the barrels being empty!
