Page 39 - EBONY AN EXCEPTIONAL SHIRE HORSE
P. 39
Here you can see Ebony and Robert in shot with a four wheel trolly belonging
to us. It had iron shod wheels. On the trolley are milk churns and bales of
wool. The kind of things that might be expected to go on the railway. The film
was set in the second World War.
Here is a picture of Robert on the third day of
filming in his “gentleman farmer” costume.
The next photograph is of us loading the horses
at the end of the third day of filming.
Ebony is there ready to go home, I am giving
him a well earned hay net and Robert is next to
me.
That chap with the long hair is me in costume.
I had told the costume girls that I did not wish
for my hair to be cut, so they turned me into a
coalman.
The waistcoat, is ripped up the back to make it
fit at the front!
