Climax motor, subsequently chipping some valves in my
            excitement. How to explain that?
The Heavy Commercial Vehicle Road show was a big
success, and the following week I had the help of a factory
trained demonstration driver to assist me tour our most likely
clients to explain in detail the outstanding qualities of the four
            wheel tipper lorries.

We made a big impression on the local industry and were
            hopeful of several sales.
However, within a matter of days I had a date for my all
            important trip to London.
As I was still engaged in working at Main Ridge at week-
ends, a day off in the week was not difficult. My transport
while the Imp was laid off sick was a smart Hillman Husky
1600 estate car and it was this vehicle that took me to
Firestone at Great West Road, Brentford for the most
            important day of my life.

               THE FIRESTONE INTERVIEW
I was shit scared to say the least. So much of my future,
indeed the future of our family as Helen had arrived by this
time, rested on this one interview.
