40 Quarry Regulations
Quarry Supervision at TJ
8.1 C John Riley is the nominated Quarry Manager at TJ, these roles are then overseen by
the Director Neil Glazebrook, Managing Director John Gosling and Head of Compliance
Jack Macfarlane.
8.1 D will be nominated Foreman and machinery operators on-site and will be displayed on
the site staff noticeboards.
Site Audits will be carried out by Stuart Etherington BHP Group (Business Health
Partnership Ltd), Jack Macfarlane at TJ or SLR Consulting.
A copy of the Quarry Regulations 1999 can be found on each site for staff to refer to.
Haul Road Design and Maintenance
It is crucial that haul roads are well maintained at all TJ
sites so the haul roads are kept graded to prevent spilt
material from causing ruts and to help improve ride
comfort for staff.
During persistent wet weather small bunds maybe
placed at the top of the haul roads to prevent water from
eroding the haul roads and redirect water across the site.
