Vapes will be removed from the waste, quarantined away from any combustible materials
and recycled through the relevant licensed facility.

38 Lead Acid Batteries

Please take care when handling lead acid batteries as these contain acid and stored energy.

If the battery is undamaged then wearing your standard
on site PPE carry the battery to the battery store on site
and ensure that the site foreman is made aware so that
the battery can be booked in.

If the battery is damaged then
please ensure that in addition to
your standard PPE you also wear a
full-face visor.

At all times when handling batteries ensure that no conductive material
is allowed to touch both poles of the battery at the same time as this
can cause an explosion.
