Objective of the Practice:

          • To create a robust orientation program with an engaging curriculum and enable the

students to connect with Faculty members, Campus Administration and all the others

involved in their campus lives. Bridge Courses are conducted to brush-up their academics
              and build various key competencies.

          • To provide an engaging experience with a well-balanced session plan, which thrives on

augmenting academic learning along with activities or sessions weaved around
encouraging team building, personal effectiveness, leadership skills, goal setting and

              various other collaborative sessions

      The Actual Practice:

The program is an engaging and learning oriented expansive program spanned across three and
half weeks. The Compass Program encompasses various programs mapped against the SAGE

Model (Socializing, Associating, Governing and Experiencing) and K-D-B Framework (Knowing,
Doing and Being). There are 46 unique courses plugged for our students traversing across 73

sessions planned for each student across the Compass Orientation Program. During the

Orientation Program, students have an immersive learning experience from knowing each other
through team building activities, Jigsaw Puzzle, Bridge courses, Expert Guest Sessions, Special

Courses by Senior Faculty members, Article Reviews, Alumni Connect and a fun filled satisfying

trip to Singapore as part of Compass Program. The learning methodology adopted during the
Compass Program is experiential with a focus on the application of concepts, interactive lectures,

case study analysis, classroom projects and exercises, class simulations and games, group
presentations, analysis of contemporary articles from referred journals, external expert sessions

      and activity labs.

      Outcome:

          • Encourages student teams to successfully solve creatively designed, unstructured
              challenges

          • Creates Awareness on Importance of Research

          • Enhances reviewing and analytical abilities
          • Exposes students to a variety of views and approaches of authors of articles

          • Develops team building and communication skills
