•  Area Chair suggests changes, if any.

      •  Course coordinator finalizes the template and sends it to Area Chair.
      •  Area Chair sends final versions of course planning dockets to external experts for the review.

      •  A meeting is scheduled where faculty present their course planning to reviewers, Area Chair

          and Dean.

      •  Suggestions on all of the above are incorporated to make the final course planning docket
      •  Faculty, after incorporating the suggestions, makes the final course docket and shares with

          Area Chair and Students.

      •  Students find it effective as the outcomes, lesson plans, reading materials, assessment design
          & rubrics are clearly defined.



      Outcomes:
      With the help of CPM, faculty members were encouraged to look at Course Planning and Course

      Delivery processes with increased focus and in a more structured way. This activity had
      measurable impact on student results.



      Title of the PRACTICE: CMS 50 Index

      Objective of the Practice:

      To create and manage a stock index and learn the art and science of portfolio management, equity
      research and analyzing the corporate actions, practices and strategies



      Before: Watching benchmark indices like Nifty or Sensex
      Now: Create a new benchmark of stock index for CMS Business School



      The Actual Practice:
          •  A 50 stock index was created by the faculty members of Finance Area.

          •  The  index  has  representation  from  across  industries  like  Cement,  IT,  Auto,  Banking,

              Pharma, Retail, Insurance, FMCG, Textile, Petroleum and Gas, Tyres, Paint etc.
          •  The base date is from 7  July 2018 and built on free float methodology. The base value is

          •  The index will be revised bi-annually. Students will monitor and readjust the CMS 50 Index
              portfolio.
