b. He shall assist the President in preserving order and shall perform such other duties
as the President may direct.

Section 5 Regional Directors
a. The Regional Director shall promote and represent the Association in their
respective regions. The regions shall be as established by the Executive
Committee.
b. They shall perform such duties as determined by the President or the Executive
Committee.

a. The Regional Directors shall promote the Purpose of the Association and represent
the Association in their respective regions. The Regions shall reflect the Texas DPS
Highway Patrol Regions (7 Regions Total).

Section 6 Executive Committee
a. Members of the Executive Committee shall make every effort to attend all meetings
called by the President.
b. The Executive Committee shall meet at least three times each year and as called by
the President. The Executive Committee may be called into meetings by a
minimum of eight members of the Executive Committee so requesting that it be
held. One of the Executive Committee meetings each year shall be held in
connection with the annual Association meeting.
c. The Executive Committee shall be the governing body of the Association and shall
have authority to perform all duties to further the objectives of the Association not
prohibited nor in conflict with the Constitution and By Laws of the Association. The
Executive Committee shall report to the Annual Meeting all affirmative action that
has been taken during the year. The Association year shall be as established by the
Executive Committee. A written report shall be prepared by the Executive Director
for presentation to the business session of the annual meeting.
d. The Executive Committee shall approve the annual operating budget and administer
the financial affairs of the Association.
e. The Executive Committee shall promulgate requirements for holding the Annual
Meeting and shall determine the registration fee to be charged and the use to be
made of such fee.
f. The President may submit matters to the Executive Committee by phone or other
means of communication; and in such instances, a majority vote of the committee
will be required for adoption.
g. Eight members of the Executive Committee shall constitute a quorum.

a. The Executive Committee shall function as the Board of Directors of the Association
as the governing body of the Association and shall have such authority, not
prohibited by these By Laws or statute, to authorize or perform such actions it deems
in the best interest of the Association in the furtherance of the Purpose and of the
Association.
