JOSEPH MAZZOLA’S OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES
Ingredients
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
3 cups oats
1 ½ cup raisins
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
Beat together butter and brown and white sugar. Stir in vanilla and eggs. Add flour,
salt, cinnamon and baking soda. Stir in oats and raisins. Put teaspoon size of sough
on lightly greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
CHOCOLATE CRACKLE COOKIES
Ingredients
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1 egg
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoon vegetable oil
pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
confectioners sugar
1 square unsweetened chocolate melted and cooled
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, egg, oil, chocolate and vanilla and mix well.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt;gradually add to creamed mixture and mix
well. Chill dough for at least 2 hours. Sugar your hands with confectioners sugar and
place on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. Makes
about 1 ½ dozen.
