HERTA HUBLER’S
        SPRITZ COOKIES

        Ingredients
        1 cup butter
        2 ½ cup flour
        3/4 cup sugar
        1/2 teaspoon baking powder

        1 teaspoon vanilla
        1/8 teaspoon salt
        1 egg


        Instructions
        Cream butter and sugar and add egg. Add dry ingredients and mix. Put dough into
        manual or electric cookie press and put on non greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400
        degrees for about 8-10 minutes



        I received this recipe from my mom when she gave me my first manual cookie press.
        Now, I have the electric cookie press. I make these cookies for di erent holidays but
        primarily at Christmas. The ones I made would be green trees with sprinkles and
        white or red poinsettia with candied red or green cheery in the middle. The other
        cookies made into ribbons and white poinsettias have melted dark chocolate with
        sprinkles added by my husband, Ron. This is Sean, my son-in-law’s favorite cookie.
        Todd loved the ribbon cookies with the dark chocolate that Ron would add.








        AUNT EMMA’S SPRITZ COOKIES

        Ingredients
        1/2 pound butter
        1 cup sugar
        3 cups flour

        2 eggs




        Instructions
        Mix all ingredients and put in cookie press. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes


        Emma Hildebrand was a family friend of my Mom. She was like having another

        grandmother. She was a great baker and cook. She was a widow whose husband and
        only child died within the same year.
