EASTER PEPPERMINT EGG CANDY

          Ingredients
          2 pounds confectioners sugar                                   pinch of salt
          a few drops of peppermint oil or extract                       sweetened condensed milk


          Instructions
          Mix sugar, salt, and peppermint together. Add a few drops of condensed sweetened
          milk to form the right consistency. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours , them make small
          balls or egg shape.


          CHOCOLATE EGG COATING

          Ingredients
          1/4 cup melted para n wax
          1 cup semisweet chocolate bits or dark baking chocolate


          Instructions
          Melt chocolate and wax in pan. Place a sheet of wax paper on a cookie sheet. Dip
          candy in with a toothpick while chocolate mixture is hot and place on wax paper.
          When finished, place on the cookie sheet in the refrigerator until chocolate is set.


          SUGARED GRAPES

          Ingredients
          2 pounds seedless grapes
          1 egg white, very slightly beaten
          1 package fruit flavored gelatin



          Instructions
          Cut bunches of cleaned and dried grapes into small clusters. Dip clusters, one at a time
          into beaten egg white. Hold to permit excess to drain o . Sprinkle with the gelatin.
          Chill about 3 hours. Use as a garnish for salads or deserts or just serve as a desert.


          APPLESAUCE

          Ingredients
          8 medium apples                                                1/2 cup water
          2 tablespoon butter                                            3/4 cup sugar
          1 teaspoon cinnamon


          Instructions
          Peel, core and cut apples into small pieces. Combine all ingredients in pot and cook
          until apples are very soft. You may need to add more water. Remove from heat, stir and
          then mash. Serve warm or cold.

          I used to take the apples from the apple tree in our backyard to make the applesauce.
          We always had the applesauce for Thanksgiving.
