So I'm looking for an arrangement where I have at least LABA'AN and LOOFAH, possibly also
the older bitch SHA'ILA (born 1.12.73) for a few months up to one year, in such a way that they
have good human contact and don't have to sit in a kennel somewhere. I would be happy with
both the hunting use of the dogs as well as for breeding purposes. The mating LABA'AN II/
LOOFAH, for example, produces very beautiful, elegant animals, as has already been proven.

LABA'AN turned three years old about a month ago, LOOFAH will also be three years old next
May. They have lived together since they were puppies and are very attached to each other.
LOOFAH, like her mother, is very outgoing, affectionate and obedient. The male dog is
somewhat more reserved due to unfortunate experiences, i.e. a little shy, but still very
        friendly and lovable.

The two younger dogs are inexperienced hunters, so they would certainly take part in racing
if they had been trained properly. I have only tried them once: they didn't run at full speed
because they didn't really know the artificial hare at all, but they still ran.

SHA'ILA has successfully hunted hares, foxes and gazelles. She may soon be too old for very
extreme tours but last February in Egypt she was still hunting gazelles. For Spanish and
French hares she will certainly be good enough for a long time to come. A year ago in Alsace
she brought a hare in front of the shotgun three times in a row in front of a hunting guest,
each time after an arc of about 1 km diameter; after the guest missed the third time, the
situation became too stupid for her, whereupon she caught up with the hare, grabbed it and
retrieved it. The guest, an internationally renowned hunter, had never seen anything like it
        and was naturally very excited.

Do you have any ideas on how I could organise something like this? I would of course be very
        grateful for a good tip.

I hope that these comments are of interest to you. Perhaps I can at least help you to get the
        desired import Salukis.

        With kind regards,
        D . John E. Burchard
