For her second litter, we decided to mate Jo
to Sh Ch Jehnver of Greyfilk owned by the
indomitable Joan Fussell. This mating produced
Sh Ch Flimmoric Fieldday who in 1978 won
the dog ticket at Crufts. This caused some
consternation and a little amusement as I was
running round the ring in my ninth month of
           pregnancy.

Fieldday, Wag, had a super, loving
temperament. He was mated to my friend
           Marnie Henkey’s (Cleimar), first Weimaraner,
Sh Ch Wivelees Wicked Charmer. Sh Ch
Flashman of Flimmoric, Foggy, was one of the
progeny. In July 1984, aged only 4, he tragically
died of an intestinal blockage, mainly due to
veterinary negligence. He was such a wonderful
showman, and was at the time top winner in the
breed and had gone one better than his sire by
winning BOB at Crufts the previous year. Our
           hearts were broken.

           Esteemed judge, Douglas Appleton, had
suggested that an injection of American blood be mated to Vega. Our luck was in! She
may be beneficial to the breed and prior to duly obliged and as the kennels were on my
Foggy’s death, I had already made overtures to doorstep, everything went smoothly. She had 9
some breeders with a view to importation. Within pups, 7 bitches and 2 dogs, Julie to have pick of

and joined by Marnie, we were in the US at a
three day Weimaraner Specialty Show, meeting I chose my much adored Gillie who became
breeders and seeing some spectacular dogs. Sh Ch Flimmoric Fanclub, he had a super
