and Pastoral Breeds Championship Show. ‘Loki’
achieved his title at just 22 months old.

We imported two bitches from the DiSoranto
Kennel in Poland, DiSoranto Juliana Blue at
Darkpeak JW and DiSoranto Moonlight Shadow
at Darkpeak JW, ‘Shelby’ and ‘Mazzy’ along
with their excellent health test results, have
brought us considerable success with their CC
and RCC wins from Puppy Classes, Group wins
and placings at Championship shows and their
Junior Warrant awards. We hope to continue
showing these two girls in the coming years.

At Darkpeak we have always maintained a
keen interest in ‘health’ and our dogs, whether
they are to be used for breeding or not, are
normally Hip and Elbow scored under the KC/
BVA schemes. We actively participated in the
early heart research in Newfoundlands in the
1990s and continue to ensure our dogs have
their hearts tested by a Vet with a Diploma in
Veterinary Cardiology. We screen for Cystinuria
DiSoranto Moonlight Shadow
and recently we have started testing for

In addition, we ‘coat test’ any dog used for Hips 4/3, Elbows 0,
breeding so that we can be sure of the colour of Cystinuria/Thrombopathy/Degenerative
