Management Report - General Session - September 2020

Lee Clancey reported on the Long Range Planning Committee (LRPC). Two additional homeowner
members were added to the committee: Paula Manoski and Byron Graves.

Vice President Clancey reported that the committee had begun Phase II of the McMahon Group’s

work with the committee. Preliminary plans will be drawn up by the McMahon Group and zoom
focus groups and a focus group Town Hall will be consulted as options are discussed. A concept pro-
posal is expected in December. Homeowners are expected to be able to vote on options in the
     Spring of 2021.

One homeowner was liened for non-payment of assessments.

Committee Reports were presented by Board members starting with Nancy Crosby Chair of the Ar-
chitectural Committee. Many plans are presented each week as homeowners submit their projects

to the committee to review and revise or approve.

A busy, hot summer brought Pete Bohn as Committee Landscape Chair to report on plans that his
committee had been busy reviewing and working with the Landscape company to preserve as much
greenery as possible after the extreme summer heat.

The Security Committee , Chaired by Doug Burwell, listened to owners that were very concerned
about speeding through the community. The “Speedminder” captured license plates of drivers who
were caught speeding in the community. It was discussed and recommended to the Board that two
Speed Humps be installed on Spyglass to slow down the speed on that street. Two more stop signs

were suggested on Desert Horizons Drive to also protect residents crossing the street and walking
near the curbs in the community. After discussion of all options, the Board approved the com-
     mittee’s recommendations.

Maintenance Chair Mark Bonebrake reported that his committee was reviewing four areas of
maintenance work that his committee wanted to review for effectiveness and possibly lowering

     costs.
Association records were provided to the committee to review budgets and costs of Painting, As-
phalt repair, Roofs and the 20 pools.

Management reported that the community received a refund from CVWD for costs that were col-
lected for Meters that were removed during the water conversion project for a total of $21,000.

The annual renewal on October 1, 2020-21 for Insurance for DHOA, was negotiated with the Roy
     Palacios Insurance Agency for $237,000.
