lot of precautionary measures have had
to be taken in order to resume services in
the dental practice, PPE being top priority.
Procuring it is a challenge but also an
unexpected expense for a small start up
business but the business has managed to
ensure that all is in place.

The owner of Smiles for Miles Dental
Practice, Katlego Goaletsa Setlhare holds
a Bachelor’s Degree in Dentistry from
the University of Limpopo (Medunsa
Campus) and a Post Graduate Diploma
in Pedodontics from the University of
Pretoria. Having worked in the public
sector where she was privileged to get a
lot of experience in Hospital Dentistry,
which also exposed me to working with
a great Maxillo-Facial surgeon from
whom she have learnt a lot of surgical
techniques that once in a while she gets a
chance to use in her own clinic.

As a General Dentist, Setlhare practices
a vast number of procedures. General
Dentistry includes procedures such as
tooth extraction, tooth restorations,
filling (as it is commonly known), tooth
replacement such as with dentures,
bridge and crown, the list is endless
