               Exemplary Activities: Our Hub Parents began 2019 with bonding/planning meetings during the
               months of September and October. Applications were completed and activities were planned.
               Our annual money raffle drawing was given out to youth and parent during our December
               meeting.  The group had a successful popcorn sale and has made preparation for our second
               fundraising at Applebee’s. All funds are given to our youth group to help with expenses for
               transportation to the youth conference, etc. Some parents transported and participated in our
               Annual Teach-A-Rama Workshop for Parents and participated in the Annual Making Strides
               against Breast Cancer Walk.  Furthermore, our parents have been a big help in supporting our
               youth with donating food Items for the Thanksgiving Baskets and Hats, Gloves and Socks to
               two Homeless Shelters. We are looking forward to their present at our African American
               History Program and a successful youth conference.

                    Sorors participated in Belmont Runyon Elementary School in Newark, NJ's  Read Across America
             program where they went around to kindergarten to 2nd grade classrooms and read to students

                    AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY: No. of Sorors: 39   Xinos: 16  Kudos: 10 Others: 108
             Description of the Activity: The Delta Pi Chapter once again partnered with the Eagle Academy for
             Young Men of Newark, located at 279 Chancellor Ave. in Newark, N. J. The keynote speaker was former
             Delta Pi Xinos Ms. A’Dorian Murray-Thomas who is currently one of the youngest members to sit on the
             Newark School Board Council and Founder & CEO of She Wins! Inc. Our Xinos, Kudos and scholars
             from Eagle Academy put on performances from spoken word, to Dr. King’s speech to a wonderful Unity
             Step. The Sorors and KOTs hosted and prepared a sumptuous smorgasbord of Southern Cuisine. Eagle
             Academy’s DJ provided a variety music for all to enjoy. A good time and conversation was had by all.
             The partnership between the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc.,Delta Pi Chapter and Eagle
             Academy provides an opportunity to service our community.
             TECHNOLOGY/COMPUTERS: Number of Sorors: 25 Number of Participants: 30
                    During monthly meetings, Sorors learned to use certain apps on their Smartphones.
             During Teach-A-Rama, Sorors still in the classroom and guest learned  how to Use Microsoft Excel in the
             Classroom
             PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
                    TEACH-A-RAMA: Number of Sorors:  25  Xinos:10             Kudos: 5  Others: 50 Description of
             the Activity: Delta Pi Annual Teach-A-Rama was held at Mount Vernon Elementary School. Guest
             Speaker Ryan Haygood spoke on the topic “The School to Prison Pipeline”. Raffles were given to
             classroom teachers for school supplies. Continental Breakfast was served. Workshops were given to
             Sorors, teachers, community and youth. Sorors from Delta Nu and Alpha attended our Teach-A-Rama.
             The titles of workshops were as follows:
                    How to Align New Math Program with Standards, The Writing Process, Knowledge Building In
             Literacy, Building Science Literacy and Critical Thinking with Discrepant Events, How to Use Microsoft
             Excel in the Classroom, Teen Dating Violence/Human Trafficking and Blood Pressure Screening.
