NATIONAL SORORITY OF PHI DELTA KAPPA, INC.   •   80TH ANNUAL EASTERN REGIONAL CONFERENCE

               In December 2019, Delta Nu assisted Paterson Task Force by collecting toys and donating them
               to children in Paterson, NJ for Christmas.  We also collected canned goods and food to stock the
               Food Pantry at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Hackensack, NJ, where several Sorors are
               members.

               Throughout the year Sorors Danielle Drakeford, Cora Davis, and Lorraine Cobb tutor K-12
               students at Community Baptist Church, Englewood, NJ.
               PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
               L DEVELOENT
               TEACH-A-RAMA:   Number of Sorors:  255 Xinos: 11, Kudos: 7, Others: 330
               Description of the Activity: High School students and their parents were given a day of
               information about applying for college, researching scholarships,and the filling out the FAFSA.
               Sorors represented their undergraduate colleges and spoke about their college experience.
               LLEADERSHIP TRAINIG:    Number of Sorors:   39
               Description of the Activity:  Basileus Gwynne Burt gave Delta Nu Officer folders detailing their
               expected responsibilities throughout their tenure in office. The Executive Board meets 10 days
               before the chapter meeting to discuss any new information. At the annual Planning Meeting,
               facilitated by the 1st Anti-Basileus, Danielle Drakeford, the committee distributed leadership
               handouts and materials to sorority members detailing proper procedures and behaviors from both
               members and officers.  Soror Drakeford lead a workshop called, "Having a growth Mindset."
               PUBLIC RELATIONS: Number of Sorors: 39
               Description of the Activity: Email, group chats, telephone conference calls, and the chapter
               website are used as a means of communication and dispersing information.  In addition, the
               chapter uses Social Media to advertise events and to communicate with Eastern Region Sorors.
               Eventbrite is used to sell tickets for fundraising events.  .
               COMMISSION ON CIVIL RIGHTS, EDUCATION AND LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS
               (ACADEMIC ISSUES AND CURRENT TRENDS)
               Number of Sorors:  39
               Description of the Activity: Delta Nu continues to attend local board of education meetings, and
               meetings of civil rights organizations, such as the NAACP to keep Sorors abreast of ways to
               enable change within our community .
               February 2020
               Delta Nu sorors attended a Black Lives Matter forum at Hackensack High School, Hackensack,
               NJ.
               INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS (SISTERHOOD)
                      Sisterhood Activities:  Number of Sorors:  39
               Description of the Activity: Sorors were given sisterhood cards to carry in their wallet to let them
               know that they are not alone.  Sorors met for dinner and/or happy hour throughout the sorority
               year at various restaurants in Bergen and Passaic Counties such as MK Valencia, Regina's, and
               Mamajuana Cafe.
               FOUNDERS' DAY: Number of Sorors:  39
               Description of the Activity: Delta Nu Sorors celebrated Founder’s Day by having dinner at a
               local restaurant. Sorors had a Social Media Celebration by posting pictures wearing their sorority
               paraphernalia on Facebook and Instagram.
