The Massachusetts State Police Gang Unit continues their dedication to the Commonwealth….

past week. One of the Team’s recent gun arrests during the month of September included a Tech9 with a laser.
There’s zero question that the MSP and Boston Police partnership continues to be strong and only getting better.
        Great work fellas!

The Brockton and New Bedford Teams recently wrapped up an initiative in Taunton, partnering with detective
from the Taunton PD Street Crimes Unit as well as the Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section. Together these
teams seized a firearm, made nearly a dozen felony warrant arrests, conducted proactive patrol resulting in
several possession to distribute Class A and B narcotics charges, and initiated a fentanyl distribution investigation.
Through a Confidential Informant, the teams coordinated a series of controlled purchases of fentanyl from a
suspected dealer, then sought a search warrant out of Taunton District Court, resulting in the seizure of trafficking
weight in fentanyl. A solid initiative that brought a bit of peace to the Silver City before the holiday season.
