3.  Register the patient in the EMR and assess their vitals (Weight, Height, Temperature, Blood Pressure, &
               Heart Rate).

            4.  Once completed, you will provide them with an explanation as to what you will be conducting during
               their visit.


            5.  DH1628 Form:
                   a.  For patients that come in for HIV/PrEP Testing, you are to complete the DH1628 Form to assess
                       their risk factors.

            6.  Pre-Counseling:
                   a.  For a patient testing for HIV/PrEP, you will start with conducting the HIV Rapid Antibody Test
                       and assure that the results are facing away from the patient.
                           i.  While you are waiting for the results, you should be providing them with the education
                              portion; this is considered the Pre-Counseling portion of their visit. While doing so,
                              please maintain a good eye on the results of the HIV Rapid Antibody Test. Doing so, will
                              provide you with an insight as to the route you will have to take for the counseling
                              portion of their visit.
                   b.  For a patient testing for HEP-C, you will conduct the HCV Rapid Antibody Test and provide
                       them with the education portion of their visit.

            7.  Testing/Drawing Labs:
                   a.  For a patient testing for HIV/PrEP whos’ HIV Rapid Antibody Test shows UNREACTIVE, you
                       provide them with the their results and continue with drawing their labs; utilizing the Case
                       Management and Laboratory Protocol book to assure proper procedure being conducted.
                   b.  For a patient testing for HIV/PrEP whos’ HIV Rapid Antibody Test shows REACTIVE, you will
                       provide them with their results and jump into the counseling portion of their visit, providing
                       them with education, resources, and empathy. You will then continue with drawing their labs;
                       utilizing the Case Management and Laboratory Protocol book to assure proper procedure being
                       conducted.
                   c.  For patients testing for HEP-C, you do not need to conduct any further testing during this visit.

            8.  Once all labs have been obtained, you will schedule a Telehealth visit with the Nurse Practitioner, if
               they are not in the clinic.

            9.  While the patient is speaking with the Nurse Practitioner, notate the patients Care Message Feed with
               what was conducted and scan all documents into the EMR.

            10. If labs were drawn, complete the Quest Requisition.

            11. Once the patient is done speaking with the Nurse Practitioner and prior to walking them out, ask them if
               there is anything else you can do for them while they are with you; if not, set up their follow-up
               appointment, as requested by the Nurse Practitioner. Make sure to notate the follow-up date in their Care
               Message Feed.
