WORK AT HEIGHT WALK ON CEILING


        ● Anyone working on ceilings must be suitably trained,walk on ceiling sticker must be
            displayed on helmet showing training is completed;

        ● Access to walk on ceilings will be via scaffold access tower;

        ● Restricted access permit is required prior to working on walk on ceilings


        ● Permits must be signed off by Jacobs & STS safety team;

        ● Permits will be managed and coordinated at the white board meetings;

        ● Safety harness, lanyard and chin strap are required when working on walk on ceil-
            ings. Please refer to Work at Height page.

        ● Only one person and toolbox allowed to stand on a ceiling tile. Max load on a ceil-
            ing tile per person 100 kg.  Do not stand on non-loading bearing surfaces;


        ● Scaffolding podium steps or alloy towers must not be placed directly onto the
            ceiling;

        ● Where applicable, use spreader plates to distribute the load and use suitable
            protective material to prevent damage to the ceiling;

        ● Whilst working near a leading edge a valid OPEN HOLE PERMIT must be
            authorised by Jacobs safety team.


        ● Workers must wear a safety harness and lanyard attached to suitable safe
            anchor fixing point  for tie off (structural member such as Sikla framing);
