After quite some time, a kind man who had been passing by,

heard her barks and looked up into the tree.

“What on earth are you doing up there” he called to her – “and

how did you get there”?

Sophie barked back in response. “Well, you just stay put, and I’ll

go and get some equipment to help you get down” he said. Sophie,
who was feeling very tired, very wet, very hungry and very

grumpy grumbled to herself - “Well, I’m hardly going anywhere

by myself - if I could - I would have, by now”.
