A Cooking Adventure

Starting on the journey of learning to cook was both

exciting and thrilling. Last weekend, with my mom’s permission,

the kitchen transformed into my lab.

I started with slice meat. Meanwhile, I turned on the stove

and poured some oil to the pan. Initially, the simplicity of the

tasks made me intoxicating. But soon, I discovered I had bitten

off more than I could chew. The sizzling sounds in the oil pan

greeted my ears. The next minute, flames rose from the pot.

Shocked and panicked, I quickly dumped the vegetables into the

pan and began stirring wildly. As it turned out, the dish ended

up looking somewhat like charcoal.

Looking back , I came to the realization that cooking is not

just about technique but also about caution and patience.
