Kashta Day
KASHTA DAY:
A Day of Fun and Learning
EPG organised an exciting Kashta Day to introduce
children to Kuwait’s customs and traditions, connect them
to the environment that expresses cultural identity, and
learn about values and positive social behaviour. It is also
a great time to bond with their classmates and teachers,
simulating practice that has been passed down from
generation to generation.
Kashta Day allowed children to explore new foods (tastes
and avours) while developing essential skills such as
language development, physical abilities, and exposure to
nature—all crucial for their overall health and well-being.
Additionally, it helped foster social skills, strengthening
relationships between students, their peers, and their
teachers.
Moreover, Kashta Day is the perfect way to unwind and
encourage children to connect with nature, enjoy the fresh
air, and create lasting memories. Through Kashta Day,
meaningful conversations about food, the importance of
sharing meals, and how food plays a role in family and
peer relationships were highlighted. By framing Kashta as
a little adventure, children overcame food-related anxieties
and embraced new experiences.
The day ended with students re ecting on their favourite
moments and sharing what they had learned. Many
expressed feeling more connected to their peers and
discovering the importance of teamwork and kindness.
Kashta Day was more than just a day of fun—it was a day
of growth. The children returned to class with happy
memories, stronger friendships, and valuable life lessons
that they will carry with them.
