For KS3, it is recommended that each student has at least three study sessions in a week,

two from Sunday to Wednesday and one session at the weekend. This time should be
dedicated to revision and working on the topics you find difficult.

As soon as your study starts to yield good results, as soon as you find yourself answering
more questions correctly in class, your confidence will rise and assessments, big exams will
           not be stressful.

           Get
Get work out of the way on Thursday so that you can enjoy the weekend. Plan a reward for
yourself every two/three weeks to congratulate yourself on work well done. Some will want
to jump straight to the reward but “No work - no reward!”
Don’t avoid the subjects you don’t like. Do those first!

           Make Lists
If you are not organised, make lists of the topics and subtopics to be learned.
As you complete them, cross them off the list. There is great satisfaction in seeing the list get

shorter and the knowledge cover get greater.
Put your list on the wall in front of your study area. It is a reminder of your hard work.

Set short term and long term goals

Decide what you want to achieve in the short term e.g. I want to get over 90% in my next
term test. Decide what you would like to do in college/university, your plans may change but
it will help you to stay on track with your study.

           Take quality time off
Your time off should be worry free and this can only happen if you stay up to date with your
work and manage yourself well. When the work is done, you can truly relax.

           Get physically fit

One of the most important parts of a balanced, successful school and home life is keeping fit
and health. “A healthy body means a healthy mind.”
Find some exercise you like to do and do it at least
three times a week. Get moving for your heart health, for your mental health.

           Eat clean!

There is nothing wrong with having treats every now and then but our bodies only use the

calories we burn when we’re active and we often take in more calories than our body needs
and when this happens we store those extra calories as fat.
Healthy eating is vital to ensure successful study.

Sugarnd sugary foods can cause hyperactivity and restlessness. It does not help us to stay
balanced and focused. Try not to treat yourself with food, it's so easy to relate food with
celebrating but unhealthy foods lead to unhealthy bodies. Love yourself enough to treat
your body with the respect it deserves.
