My World Book Day

My World Book Day

Here at the English Playgroup during April, we celebrate My World Book Day. This is where we show and
encourage the importance of books, how to handle books with care and reading within our Early Years
branches. Reading together is a great way to keep your child's mind engaged during the academic year and
to introduce new facts and interesting content.

This Year at EPG, our students can wear costumes of different characters/countries. They are encouraged to
make recyclable accessories to introduce the importance of recycling for the environment we live in and to
raise an awareness for environmental protection. A fashion show of all the students' designs will be held within
the branches to display their hard work and creative ideas. There will be many activities organised throughout
the day and we encourage the students to learn to love reading, listen to stories to develop their creativity,
prediction of events, and to use their imagination. Reading with your child at home will have signi cant results
and is encouraged daily to help your child with phonetic awareness and writing skills.
