Becoming a teacher is more than just choosing a career, it is a
journey - one that requires passion, dedication, and a belief in the
power of education for the future generations. We have the tools to
empower the students to become the best version of themselves, to
encourage them to always believe in their dreams.
Have you ever wondered what goes on inside your child's
classroom? If I wanted to give you a sneak peek into our daily lives,
I would say: “a room lled with laughter, learning, and yes,
sometimes a sprinkle of controlled chaos!” From the moment the
students walk through the door, the fun begins.
Our mornings start off with assembly time, where we all gather to
sing and dance, and set the good mood before we start heading to
our classrooms. Each morning during carpet time, when I greet
my students the room immediately lls with curious, smiling faces.
Each one of them has a ton of questions waiting to be answered,
and endless opportunities to be explored. This is where the
journey of a teacher begins, with the responsibility to inspire,
encourage and mould their minds as future learners and future
leaders. After circle time, we dive into our engaging activities from
creating masterpieces to reading and writing.
There’s never a boring moment! One of the great moments are
when the lesson is coated into fun activities so seamlessly that the
students don’t even realise we are learning; at the end of class I
hear – “Teacher! We still want to play.”
Joining EPG has been a great and unique experience for me. From
the very rst day, EPG welcomed me warmly. As we know during
our classes, there are lessons to be taught, yet there are lessons to
be learned for us as well. After the hustle and bustle of a busy
school day, we have to have a moment of quiet re ection. It’s a
great feeling that EPG has been incredibly supportive of all the
newly joined and returning members of the teaching staff. On a
regular basis EPG provides us with feedback, ideas and training to
help us deliver the curriculum to the highest level. On one nal
note, my journey as a teacher may have its ups and downs, but I
am reminded every day that it is a journey worth taking. Nothing
is more rewarding than making these great memories, and seeing
our happy students “be the best they can be”.
