Successful application of such practices helps us to improve the efficiency of
court procedures, reducing costs and minimising delays.

With respect to the enhancement of efficiency, we are currently

piloting an electronic hearing recording system which involves the filming of

court proceedings which will be kept on record in digital format for future
reference. The system is believed to reduce post-hearing disputes regarding

the accuracy of statements made during proceedings. Also, we are piloting a

system where the parties can now file requests online for an order to assign

an estate administrator and set court dates via a video link in Civil Court.

To further enhance the efficiency of communication between the Court and
the public, an official LINE account-INSIDE COJ, which is an online chat

application was set up and used as an effective and timely channel to

broadcast any progress, updates or other necessary developments that
we would like to communicate with fellow judges, court personnel as well as

the public.

To strengthen public trust and confidence, it is important that the

public has easy and convenient access to court services. To achieve that, we

have developed the Case Information Online Service system which enables

registered parties or authorised lawyers to track the information of their cases
such as trial dates or court orders online as well as submitting requests

to copy documents or make necessary payments. Furthermore, we have

established a user-friendly tracking system where parties can track the status
of their cases online. This means that their information is readily accessible

without them being required to be physically present at the court.
