M: 1 love almost everything about my hometown , but 1 hate the weather there. The weather always limits me
in what 1 can do. 1 like to go outside and be active. The problem is that it always seems to be raining , or it
is windy or too cold. The weather often messes up my weekend plans. Last weekend , 1 was planning to
go canoeing with some friends, but there was a huge storm, and 1 had to stay inside all weekend. You can
change or avoid many things in a city, but you can’t modify the weather l The weather in my city often ruins
          my plans
       Sample response 2
W: The thing 1 dislike the most about my city are the terrible traffic jams. During rush hour, my commute home
from work can take over an hour. Without traffic , it only takes twenty minutes to get to work. Sitting in traffic
is really dull. 1 could leave earlier in the morning , but that would force me to get up too early. 1 really wish
that the city officials would make resolving this problem a priority. Perhaps they could construct new roads
so that the traffic could flow much smoother. It looks like 1 am going to be sitting in traffic everyday for a
          while

W: So, do you think you will live on campus next year?
M: 1 ’m not sure. 1 was thinking of buying a car, and then 1 could continue to live on my parents' estate
W: Why would you want to do tha(? You would have much more freedom living on campus
M: That’s true, but my parents are pretty good. 1 could still have fun and have my own car
       C
M: The students are discussing if he should buy a car to get to university or stay on campus. The student says
that his parents are good and that if he lives at home, he can still have fun and also buy a car. 1 think the
rest of the conversation will be about why he should live on campus. 1 think he should stay on campus

W: Why? You would have more freedom living on campus
M: That’s true , but my parents are pretty good. Plus my older brother lives at home, and they like that. 1 think

       W: 니 ke what?
M: 1 want to enjoy university life, but it’s intrinsic that 1 study hard. If Ilive on campus, there may be too many
