               Products Catalog

Park: Well, before actually touring the plant, I would like to give you an overall description, in-
cluding the major products handled, employees, and the plan areas. I don’t want you to lose
track of what we have planned for the visit. Please feel free to ask any question. I will be more
than happy to answer all your queries.
Adams: Thank you very much. Please go ahead. Mr. Park. I’ll just raise my hand if I want to ask
                  about something.
Park: I will refer to this English catalog, so that you might get a better idea about the major prod-
ucts that we handle and the facilities that we use here at the plant. This is our updated catalog.
We continuously update them. We release an issue every semester because we always have new
developments during this cycle. All these changes are featured in the catalog. Please get one
catalog and pass the extra copies. You may start browsing at the catalogs now. We can now
proceed to our audio visual center where we will watch a video presentation of the full range of
products listed in our homepage. Please follow me.
Adams: Excellent! I’m so impressed by your catalog. The photos of your items are really interest-
ing. I can also see that it offers the full range of items that you have released for this semester.
It also has a listing of your products’ prices and the addresses of all your major outlets. This is
very helpful. I think we’ll also be impressed with the video presentation. It sounds like a great
presentation. I am sure to get a lot of information out of it.
Park: Thank you, Mr. Adams! I’m sure you’ll learn more from the presentation. This way, please.

               1. Have you ever toured a plant or office with the guidance of a catalog? Have
you ever purchased a merchandise you chose from a catalog? How was it
                  like?

                  Sample answer:
Yes, I have ordered a bag through a catalog. It was convenient for me because I didn’t have to
go out of the house to buy the bag I needed. It wasn’t also as physically tiring as actual shop-
                  ping.

               2. What would make a good products/plant catalog?

                  Sample answer:
It has to be considerate of the needs of the users. It should be easy to understand, comprehen-
