Chapter 6 Hobbies and Interests
Unit 7: Traveling/Going in Vacation
Talk about the most recent trip you had.
Answer A:
Real vacations don’t exist for me anymore. I am ashamed of myself when traveling. It took me
almost nine hours last month to get to the Maldives, and the first thing I asked the welcoming tour
guide was, “Do you have WiFi here?” Before that, I was frantic to get a few bars for my laptop. I
never go on a trip without my gadgets. At the beach, I’m tanning more under the radial glare of
my computer screen, constantly checking e-mails. As a bonus, I relax and check my Facebook
account, and the next thing I know it’s sunset. I know, it was a waste of time and money. I
could have just stayed at home to click on nonsensical things online. I have to put a note on
my forehead that I should never bring a laptop when having a vacation. Thus, my last vacation
wasn’t preeminent, but I promise that next time I can squeeze in some time to relax and have a
trip, I will spend a more momentous one.
