Chapter 2 One’s Residence
Unit 2: The Neighborhood
You were able to characterize your home. Please develop the discussion further by
mentioning a few details about the vicinity.
Answer 1:
My family lives in a row house located near an industrial and business district. Most of our
neighbors work for manufacturing companies and corporate offices. Living in this place makes it
more accessible to work places, schools, government offices and the market. In the wee hours
of the morning, establishments already operate for business. During rush hours, major streets are
packed with cars and pedestrians hurrying to work or going home. Tall buildings are filled with
workers until the late hours of the evening. It seems that I live in a city that never sleeps.
Points to emphasize in answering:
Give a general description of your neighborhood.
[example: business district, a suburb, a coastal area]
Describe the type of residents inhabiting the place.
[example: workers, office employees, students]
Cite some structures.
Summarize by describing the lifestyle of people in that area.
