Chapter 5 Spare Time Activities

                   Unit 4: Watching Movies

Moviegoers expect to be entertained when going to the cinema. Some are eager to
watch a much-awaited film, while some just want to relax. Try to narrate a cinema
experience. Mention whether the movie was able to entertain you or failed to do so.

              Answer A:

I really enjoyed the last movie I watched. It is the best action-comedy I’ve watched so far. The
story is about a secret agent who has been happily married to his wife for many years. The wife
does not have any idea that her husband has a double life. She simply thinks he’s too busy
working as a salesman and that bored her. The later scenes showed both of them ending up in
an adventure in the pursuit of terrorists. Eventually, the wife becomes a government agent too,
and both are being assigned on a new mission. I like this type of action without the serious drama
and the inhumane gore you see in other film genres. Some action-comedy films give you the
feel-good sentiment that I think is the main reason why movies exist. With a few laughs here, a
few sighs there, and much of the entertainment that every viewer longs for, action-comedies will
always raise the movie screen’s curtains and will never be out of the limelight.

              Points to emphasize in answering:

Give the title of the movie you watched.

Narrate a summary or plot of the story.

Discuss why you like watching this type of movies.

                   Conclude the discussion.
