Answer B:
Writing a movie review may seem difficult at first, but following some guidelines and tips will surely
help you in making one. Always remember to keep your mind open. Judge it as it is delivered
and not because you don’t like the director or the voice actors. To begin a movie review, outline
the basic information about it, like the title, its genre, setting, etc. Since this is an animated film,
try mentioning who the prominent voice actors are. Then, write a plot summary. Try to keep
it as concise as possible, and never give out spoilers. After that, discuss the various aspects
of the filmmaking. This will include direction, voice acting, music, graphics or special effects.
Focus more on this part of the review. Try to discuss the good points first, and be sure to write
constructive criticisms when discussing the bad points. Remember, you need to support your
opinions with strong criticisms. Adding lines from the film or singling out a specific scene makes
a good example to support your opinions or to simply make your review more appealing. It
would also be good to compare the movie to other movies, especially when they have the same
director, the same genre, or are in the same series. Lastly, conclude the review with your overall
score for it. Always see to it that you give an honest opinion about it.
Points to emphasize in answering:
Give the overall attitude in making the movie review.
[example: Always remember to keep your mind open.]
Give a step-by-step guide on how to write the review. Transitions like “To begin…”,
“Then” and “After” help a lot.
Conclude the discussion.
