to leave the audience with your final remarks and a good impression. Second, it gives
you chance to reiterate your most important points.

               2. How do you usually close your presentation?

                  Sample answer:
I use phrases such as “to sum up” or “in conclusion” before I recap the main points in
my presentation. I make sure that I don’t make my conclusion too long since it merely
serves to end the presentation well.

               3. Have you ever thought that the audience does not seem to pay much atten-
                  tion to the presentation’s closing?

                  Sample answer:
Yes, I notice that sometimes the audience no longer seems to be listening to the clos-
ing. However, I once said that aloud and the audience perked up so I guess they must
have been listening after all. It just seems that way because the audience is trying to
evaluate the presentation too and thinking of points to clarify later on.

               1. You are at the office of potential customers. You’ve been presenting your
product. How do you close the presentation?

                  Sample answer:
At the start of my presentation, I presented some figures showing the needs of the av-
erage young professional. I asked, “Where can you find a gadget that has all these fea-
tures?” The L1700 has all these and more. It can aid in your business transactions since
you can search the web and keep in touch with a client’s emails, investment portfolios,
and business results. We can customize a package based on your company’s needs.

               2. You’re evaluating the presentation of your subordinates. You need to give
some comments and suggestions regarding their closing.

                  Sample answer:
Everyone did a good job but we can always make it better right? I noticed that you
used some appropriate phrases to end your presentations formally. Everyone also re-
membered to say that they’ll be happy to answer the audience’s questions. However,
I noticed that some of you did not leave a clear impression of what you want most to
impart to the audience. Some did not reiterate their main points properly. That’s all.
I think we’ll be able to make an even better presentation next time. Thanks everyone
                  for your working hard!
