Have you ever seen the phenomenon as shown in the video on the
side? What are the pollutants that are likely to be present in this
wastewater, acid or alkaline? At can already determine the nature of
acidic or alkaline solutions using litmus paper and natural indicators.

However, litmus paper and natural indicators can only determine an
acidic or alkaline solution. However, it cannot determine exactly what
the pH value of a solution is. According to the regulations of the

Indonesian Minister of Health, water that is suitable for use is between
pH 6.5 - 7.5. Well, from the video above, do you know what the acidity
level (pH) of the waste is? Then, how do we know what the pH of the
river is?, Then how do we distinguish between strong acids and weak

acids, as well as strong bases or weak bases? Do you know what
indicators can be used to determine the pH value? And how to
distinguish an acid or base with the same concentration of solution?
