Culinary Arts Hosts Food Tasting at CES



         Culinary Arts students demonstrated preparation, cooking, and serving
         techniques of some classic Thanksgiving Day favorites for students at
         Cowpens Elementary School. The meal included Ancho Chile Roast Tur-
         key, Pumpkin-Sage Risotto, and Fresh Cranberry Chutney.  After the
         demonstration, the students were able to participate in a food tasting. A
         big thank you to Chartwells who sponsored this event.



          NTHS Sponsors Foster Children for Christmas




          NTHS’s annual Christmas service project kicked off in November. Club President
          Ava Batson presented a representative from DSS, Ms. Kerri Guenther, with gifts
          for local foster children in need. Between individual sponsorships and generous
          donations from faculty and staff, 10 children were sponsored this year.



         Clifdale Middle School Students Tour DMTC



         Clifdale Middle School students toured DMTC on October 19 and 25. DMTC
         student guides toured students  around the school to see all the different
         programs offered. Instructors did a great job giving the students an idea of
         the many opportunities available to them.  We hope to see many of these
         students join us in the near future!



          Employability Skills Class Supports Miracle Hill Mission



         Mrs. Gunnells’s Employability Skills class partnered with Miracle Hill
         Mission to help keep the homeless warm this winter season. The stu-
         dents collected and delivered 74 blankets and 64 cleaning supplies.
         They delivered the items on Friday, November 11, and were also given
         a tour of the facility where they learned all the ways Miracle Hill Mis-
         sion helps the community.
