EDUCATION

More Hispanics than ever are attending college.

Approximately 42% of US Hispanic adults 25 years of age or older have at least some
college education. This is an increase from 36% in 2010.

 The share of Hispanics with at least a completed bachelor’s degree went up from
                    13% to 185 between 2010 and 2020.

 College enrollment also increased between 2010 and 2019, from 2.9 to 3.6

million, and the share of enrolled Hispanics among all US college students
                    increased from 14% to 19%.

The median household income of Hispanic households in 2020 was $55,321, below the
median income for all households, which was $67,521.

Four in five Hispanics are US citizens (includes Puerto Ricans)

While college enrollment has been in decline, the number of Hispanic students
enrolled in college continues to rise, making them only one of two demographic groups
that saw an increase in college attendance, according to the National Center for
Education Statistics. Since 2000, the Latino population attending college has nearly
             doubled.
About 70% of Hispanic undergraduates in higher education come from families in the

bottom half of earners according to federal data analyzed by the lobbying group
American Council on Education. Further, nearly half of Hispanic students are the first in
their family to go to college, according to data analyzed by Excelencia.

While just under 20% of undergraduates on a national level are Hispanic, just under 5%
             of full-time professors are Hispanic.
