FROM THE WEBMASTER
Brother Sojourners …. HELP!
As you know, we have begun rolling out some exciting capabilities for Chapter Secre-
taries to access the information that was previously only available to them in a printed
ALPHA report. As well, we are also making available the ability for an individual
member to view his personal information profile and submit contact information
changes – but the office will be the final arbiter of those particular changes.
Here’s where we need your help: PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, do NOT contact the National Office if
you are having problems logging into EITHER the main website OR the MMS website. You should be
coming to your Webmaster for that assistance and not putting the office into a “middle-man” position. In the
case of the NSI website, the Webmaster IS THE ONLY PERSON who can work on your password prob-
lems. In the case of the MMS website, while the office can work on those problems for you, it is better for
you to come to the Webmaster for assistance because the Headquarters office is typically very busy with ad-
ministrative matters pertaining to National Sojourners® as a whole and not just the website.
As we continue to roll out new capabilities (additional reports and formats, etc.) with the MMS, please keep
in mind that we will be testing them first on a development site before we go “live” for everyone to use.
Reminder: your user ID and password for the NSI website WILL NOT WORK on the MMS site. They
are two completely different systems. While you can change your password on both systems, you can NOT
change your ID’s that are used to login to the system you want to use.
Lastly, when I work with you on a problem, I will usually take the time and trouble to login with your cre-
dentials to make SURE that everything works as it should. Once I am satisfied that everything works, I will
let you know. If you continue to have problems after that, the problem IS LIKELY to be at your end some-
where, and it is very difficult to troubleshoot those problems long distance. It’s about as hard as trying to help
someone put together a jigsaw puzzle on the telephone.
