FRESNO CHAPTER #269, Larry Duba, Secretary.
On February 17, 2025, Bro. Larry Duba, (Lt Col, Ret), Commander of Fort Miller Camp, Heroes of ’76,
gave a talk as President George Washington. It was conducted at the Senior Center in Clovis, California in
honor of President’s Day. He performs this service as a member of National Sojourners each year. With him is
Wayne Scott who gave a brief speech about Abraham Lincoln.
KNICKERBOCKER–WEST POINT CHAPTER #13, Jack H. Moore, Secretary.
Members of the Chapter were busy during the summer months. Chapter Secretary Jack Moore once again

community on the south shore of Long Island. He has been doing this for the past 5 years. Fellow

homeowners look forward to this annual event to celebrate the 4 and join the armada with their boats and
patriotic music as they wake up neighbors & friends. Then in mid-August, Sojourners and Brothers from the
West Point Masonic Lodge #877 joined forces to assist the Highland
Falls Methodist Church prepare and pack book bags and school
supplies for the children of this small community just outside the gates
of the West Point Military Academy. This too, has been an annual
event for the Chapter. Over 400 bookbags were provided to local
school children, who loaded them with donated notebooks, pens,
pencils, looseleaf paper and other school supplies. Then finally, on
Saturday, 23 August, Sojourners and the West Point Brothers again
gathered for their annual summer picnic at the Round Pond
Recreational Area on the West Point Military Reservation. The
weather was perfect for a BBQ and outdoor gathering. A menu of
hamburgers, sausages, and hot dogs, as well as a “well stocked” dessert
table provided by Brother Robert McLoughlin and fresh clams from Brother Moore celebrating July 4th
Long Island were a “big hit.”
         Sadly, Brothers bid farewell
         to Brother Howard Whitman
who is moving to Las Vegas
in the fall. The next gathering
         of our Sojourner Chapter is
         planned for a football tailgate
         and attendance at the West
         Point home Army football
         game on Saturday, 8 Novem-
