TREASURE COAST CHAPTER #586, Jeffrey C. Sorenson, Secretary, On September 14, 2025, Past
President Steve Sumners presented a donation to Operation 300. The presentation of two checks was made to
Billy Vaughn, founder and Vice President of Operation 300. Looking on were two more leaders of Operation
300, Jamie Nail and Jeremy Ware. The checks presented were from Treasure Coast #568 and Vero Beach
Masonic Lodge No. 250. They were presented as Sojourner Brothers helped prepare breakfast for Camp Valor.
Operation 300 is a registered 501(c)3 Not for Profit corporation dedicated to caring for the families of our
fallen heroes by honoring the legacy of Navy SEAL Aaron Vaughn through adventure camps for Gold Star,
White Star, and fallen officer children, healing expeditions for Gold Star fathers, an adopt-a-pet program for
grieving families, and nationwide efforts to preserve the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Camp Valor is a weekend-long mentorship/adventure camp for Gold Star children, the children of fallen
service members. It will soon be expanding to include camps for the children of fallen Law Enforcement
Officers. Operation 300 is a non-profit organization with a national focus. Its operation and headquarters are
in Stuart, FL, the location of Treasure Coast #568. It was founded to honor the memory of Special Operations
Chief Aaron C. Vaughn who was killed in action in the Tangi River Valley of Afghanistan when a helicopter
(call sign Extortion 17) carrying thirty Americans was shot from the sky while rushing into battle.
