NATIONAL SECRETARY’S DESK

Spring has sprung and with the effects of Winter and the pandemic starting to fade,
we can look forward to more social time together as Freemasons and as Sojourners.
Speaking of spending time together, if you have not yet made plans to attend the
upcoming Annual National Convention (ANC) this June, please refer to the center
section of this Spring issue of The Sojourner or our website at
www.nationalsjourners.org . Even if you are unable to attend all of the week long
activities of the ANC, please consider attending the business sessions on Thursday
and Friday. Remember - if you have WEBSITE issues email Brother Bill Hickey
at webmaster@nationalsojourners.org .

Only one resolution has been submitted this year – the Constitutional Commission (appointed by our National
President) submitted a resolution to transition us from governance by the National Regulations & Bylaws to a
Constitution & Bylaws (C&BL). Normally, the proposed resolution(s) would be published in the Spring issue of
The Sojourner magazine. The proposed resolution and corresponding C&BL are over 50 pages in length and will
therefore be posted on our website and emailed to all of the Chapter Secretaries no later than 31March. Our
National President, Brother Wayne Barnes, will be issuing an Administrative Order (AO) concerning the same,
with more detail information, prior to the publication of the resolution and C&BL. Chapter Secretaries need to
pay special attention to their Inbox (and Junk or Spam folder) for these special notifications!

Please take due notice thereof with the following four items:

1. Officer Data Sheet (ODS) is a form used for APPOINTED positions. (Due AFTER the National President has
been installed and he makes his appointments, and BEFORE the end of June).

2. Nomination Form is a form used for ELECTED positions. (Due BEFORE the ANC so we can inform the
Secretary of the Nominations Committee - before 15 May please).

3. The Membership Application is a living document therefore it is imperative you look on our website or
contact HQ for the latest form to use for bringing in new members.

4. Our Member Management System (MMS) is unique to National Sojourners ONLY and is not part of, or
connected to, any other MMS you may use or know about.
