FROM THE EDITOR’S DESK PC

Despite being a catastrophic year, 2020 has fulfilled a wish we have all made at some point: ‘time’.

In our otherwise-preoccupied lives, we would have never bothered to revamp our out-of-style

outfits or finish the last level of that aggravating video game. For me, quarantine has given me a

chance to reach out for my paintbrushes and dust the cobwebs off my stamp album. For my dog, it

has gifted him three walks a day and numerous petting sessions. It has given families time to bond. Photograph: Meera Patel

Some caught up on their cooking skills, while others caught up with friends of the past. And most

of us unrolled our yoga mats. In an optimistic sense, 2020 has given us the chance to catch up; on

things we missed doing, and with people we love (even if it’s via zoom). Above all, it has given The

Lotus the opportunity to catch up with all of you!
